Discovery: Early Signals

Cover design is a strange process.

You begin thinking you are illustrating a story and eventually realize you are trying to visualize atmosphere, structure, memory, and implication all at once.

The Executor’s Discovery has changed visually several times during development. Some versions leaned too heavily into technology. Others lost the emotional isolation beneath the systems. A few became too literal.

The challenge is remembering that the series is never really about machinery.

It is about inheritance.

About continuity.

About the unsettling realization that structures often survive the people who created them.

The strongest designs eventually stopped trying to explain the world and instead began suggesting its scale.

Signals.
Networks.
Distance.
Observation.
Silence.

The architecture beneath the story.
